Lorraine Nicholls Hi William, Just a quick Hello and to let you know that I an not related to the McLean family however my partner Rray Sinclair is in a round about way. To explain A Sinclair married a Tonkin and a Tonkin married a McLean. I have no problem in letting anyone have information that I have researched all I ask in return is that they help me by updating the family (also with photos where possible) that they got information from my research. I hope this is ok with you. Also William if you need any help as I have all the BDM's for Victoria and SA just let me know and I will help where I can.

William Davis Hi Lorriane, Thanks for getting back to me. By the sound of it, I jumped the gun, by the matches we had for the McLean family, there was a Lorraine, a daughter of Roy McLean. And I thought THAT was you.
My family has never been one to take photo's over the years ( I wish they had done so ) so I'm very restricted especially the McLean side, but in the process of getting a few from the Davis side, so I will up-load them when I get them, then I will notify you.
I am trying to find a way to visit Victoria, for the first time in about 40 yrs, hopefully come in contact with different members of the McLean family and decendents, and take up-date photo's of cousins, their children and grandchildren etc. Then transfer them to my site, anyway that's intended dream. So will keep you informed when all this takes place.
I would appreciate it if you could e-mail me a copy of the McLean family tree.
You seem very involved in family trees and know what your doing etc. so you could help me a bit, I'm having trouble finding any info on my grandmother parents, going backwards. Her name was Lavina Grace Davis
(nee Wall ), her husband's name was George William Davis ??? or just George Davis. Apparently was in the army in Wales, and came out to Australia. There's a hint he may have changed his name to George Davis before he sailed to Australia. They lived in the Balook area, in Gippsland, on a farm.
It doesn't matter if you can't help, and don't go extremely out of your way. There might be a slim chance, that you might have that information and resources at your fingertips.
