Jenny Lawlor Hi Mal,My name is Jenny Lawlor, it seems your Great Grandfather Jacob List is my great uncle, the brother to my great grandmother Annie Christina Lewis (nee List) died in 1917 in Maryborough, QLD. Annie Christina was the mother of my grandmother Alice Matilda Madders nee Lewis, thence to my mother Rachel Merle Lawlor (nee Madders). Would love to know more of the List family, or do have info re when the Lists sailed to Australia from Denmark, out of Hamburg Germany. Cheers and Happy New Year, new cousin I guess. Jenny Lawlor.

Roz Cazz In regards to your post to me...... Hi Roz, I am intrigued that your family tree includes both relatives on my mother's side of the family and also family of my father's mother (List). Regards, Mal.
My great grandmothers sister (Dorothy) was married to a List.
Cheers Roz

William Bayly White Hi Mal. I am curious to find out who our common ancestors were. I have traced most of the descendants of Dr Lewis Bayly (ca 1573- 1631) up to the present generation. I have been working on the tree for over 40 years and have not found any mention of your family in it. Would you please advise me of our relationship? I have also traced my Family pedigree back to William the Conquerer and beyond. I would be interested to contact you via ordinary Email or phone. Regards, Bill

John Louis Akard The best way to show others the path from you to your common ancestor deals with the profile of that person. Go to the profile of the common ancestor. In the area above their name is a light blue area with the list of everyone between you and them. Highlight the blue area only, Press and hold the CTRL key and press the C key. This puts the highlighted data on the computer's clipboard. Open a word processor, WordPad will do. Again, holding down the CTRL key and press the V key will retrieve the data from the clipboard. Edit the list. Eliminate the excess line feeds. Do a CTRL A. This highlights the edited data. CTRL C again replaces the old data with the edited data. Go to the Email program. From a blank page there, Do a CTRL V. You now have a list that shows you at the top and your common ancestor at the bottom. If you want them to see the dates on each person, place them before you leave the word processor. Then ask them to return the favor so you can locate them in your tree. Pass this on to others, PLEASE!

Lene Harling Hi Mal
Funny to find Australian relatives in my Family Tree. Actually it’s relatives to my husband. His mother was a descendent from Christen List (Christian Peterson List in your tree), born in 1731, died in 1813. Her father was Jørgen Christian Petersen, born in 1877. Her grandmother was Marie Cathrine Petersen, born List in 1844.

I’m not sure where our Family lines cross – but maybe you know?

I have Matches from 2 more Australians – a woman called Jenny Lawlor and another woman called Kathleen Wheeler. I have read some of the correspondence between you and Jenny.

The tree where we have common ancestors is called: harling family tree. And my husband name is Søren Michaelsen. Harling is my family name.

If you are interested, I will send you an invitation to my page.

Regards
Lene Michaelsen
