I have read an interesting article about captain August Reimer. In the article he tells about his arrrival in the States (about 1852) as far as I remember and about his participation in a war. However, I find him in Germany in a census from 1860, where he lives with his family in his birthplace. The family is the same family who appears in a census from 1880 in USA.
I am a little confused. Can you help me understand. Thanks
