The Family lived originally on Palmers Island .

Margaret Lesley Beck My grandfather, James McConnell (Tom's brother) went to far north Qld (he was one of the first pioneers up there). We were all born up there except for the eldest and youngest in my family. We moved back to NQ from Victoria when my mother's first marriage failed. Only recently moved to Brisbane - since 2002. I have 2 of my kids living in Newcastle so maybe we could catch up some time.
