Mary Shapley Hi Lorraine, John Wilton and Ann Drayson are my G G Grand Parents. A Robert Wilton did a book on the wiltons, I puchased the book. I found John Wilton and Mary Lobb in the book. Mary died then he married Ann Drayson . This line goes into the royal family and then it go's straight back to Adam and Eve. I also have a copy of "The Anglo Saxon Pedergree Chart" that has all the imformation that goes back to Adam and Eve. Cheers Mary

John Shepherd The birthplace of John Hewitt, born 1715 is stated to be "Poole, Warrenton, Lancashire". This seems to be a propagating mistranscription as it appears in several other trees on this site. I was born and lived most of my life in Lancashire and as far as I know there is not, and never has been, a place with this name. There is a place called Warrington in Lancashire where I was born as was my 8-generation direct ancestor John Hewitt, born in 1715, These Hewitts were a well-known local family and ample records are to be found in the archives of Warrington Parish Church (St, Elphin's). I now live on the Central Coast of NSW and other Hewitt descendants live in Newcastle, not too far away.
