William Gammon I too wish I had started my family tree when Dad and his sister were still alive. My line only tangentially intersects with the Armentrauts. My grandmother was a Seneker, Sarah Hill Seneker. Tracing the Senekers back I discovered that Leonora Armentrout (1833 - 1877) was the wife of my 2nd great grand uncle, James King Seneker (1813 - 1866) who was brother to my great great grandfather Anderw Seneker (1796 - 1876). I, too, have my tree on ancestry.com and it's a public tree.

Galen Jones Mom, Don't give up. Start where you are and go backwards with what you know. Like William Gammon said I wish I had been interested in this when my Dad was still living, but my mother helped alot when we started going through old pictures that only she could identify. I can't get past my g g'father William Carl Jones born in Jonesbor, TN. Oral family history says his father came from Wales and they were coal miners. My g'pa Thomas Andrew Jones, my dad and his brothers were all coal miners in southern Iowa and Minot, ND. Don't give up! It's fun and relaxing and frustrating too. Galen Jones
