Andrew Lindsay Janette
Colin Leonard Lindsay is my father. The match is fine. His mother was a Howe. She used McAuley which was the name of her adopted family as I understand. I knew her well because she lived to 98 and lived with us for several years. Lionel is not Colin's brother. He had different parents. I will let you know.

Janette Hunt Hi Bryan I am researching the Lindsay clan, because my husband's mother was born to Winnifried Annie Lindsay,as a single girl. She was brought up by Alma(Lindsay) Ryder, and George Ryder. I have Thelma my husbands mothers B/C.as well as her M/C and George is not mentioned as the father.In the birth index it states see Ryder after the Lindsay reg. but also says f. not named. Unfortunately there is nobody to solve this little mystery
