Believe it or not, I am related to the Queen of England, from the 12th century. Research has shown that William D'Aubigny born in 1102 married Adeliza De Louvain, second wife of Henry 1st. in 1138.
My ancestos, I have traced back to Roger D'Aubigny, born in the village of Saint Martin d'Aubigny, in Lower Normanady, as far back as 1040.His son William, born 1075 was butler to King William (The Conquerer).
Direct decendants of Adeliza and William, through the centuries, were the Earls of Arundel, Essex, and Sussex, various Knights, the Baron Burnell and the Hungerfords.
In the 17th Century John West, a London Scivener and close friend of Samuel Pepes Founded 'Christs Hospital Charity'. Ref>//pweb.netcom.com/~gbell/append4.htm
