Bill Diebert Hi Mark. Thanks for the note. I expect all is well with you.
I really hope you enjoy having a look at the site. I can't be absolutely sure all the info is accurate but I do try to verify everything. Please feel free to correct any errors you see and add any members I don't have. I am keen to have members put photos (especially old ones) and anecdotes on the site so we can all share them. Feel free to down-load anything that takes your fancy. If you aren't too sharp on the computor ask the kids - or send me info by snail mail and I'll put it on (Bill Diebert, 36 Hillcrest St, Terrigal, NSW, 2260)
I've been focusing a bit on my Mum's side because one of her sisters has just published a documentation book on their family. This year was 100 years since they bought their first farm in the Barellan area.
I'm hopeing to do a bit of a Diebert Family road trip next year. I think Wayne has some old photos and lots of family info. I've had a lot of fun - but no luck - looking for old Johann's grave (death cert says Lockhart). I've kept in touch with Auntie Maise (Vera's sister) and she has been kind enough to loan me lots of photos which I've scaned and returned. She's aging but in good nick and as sharp as a razor.
Other than that I'm still working - I'm a dentist - with no retirement plans. Going up to Wallget for 2 weeks in 3 weeks time to work in Aboriginal health (an oxymoron if ever there was one). Have a grandson and life is fine.
Cheers, and Thanks again for the contact. Bill
