Lee Hi Marion
My name is Lesley Crawford, I live in Sydney and I came across your work on the Chaseling family. They hit my family not so much in a straight line but in a round about way. I am interested in all related families as well as my own as sometiomes they come backfrom another angle. I am new on heritage and would like to maybe exchange information if it is useful to you. My main names I am searching are Crawford, Curvey, Stuchbury, Turner, Vidler. I even have Johnson's mentioned in my family tree. My family started off around Nowra and some moved to the North Coast. I also have photos from cemeteries from Gunnedah and towns around Tamworth. And some others went to live around Singleton. I have travelled to Berry andNowra and also to cemeteries around lismore to photgragh graves. My brother lives in Melbourne and we both have been doing this since 1985.
I hope we can make contact and maybe help each other.
Thank you for your time

Marion Johnson Hi Lesley, I truly believe you are going to have fun at this. I aslo believe in working on the wider side as so often I have found marriages have linked in to the closer family line. Just recently I was given a family booklet linking two marriages to my great aunts - I had the marriage details but none of the husbands families. My gggggfather was John Rose and Jane Ison is a gggggmother - and my gggreandfather was the owner of Tilbuster and Warialda - so I have links to thousands+
I have also included my husbands family in the same tree and already have two cousins on his side married to two cousins on my side.

My email is marion@nlrr.com.au I will send you a link via my family page if you would do the same for me -

Lee Hi Marion.
This is fun and it is always exciting when you find a link to someone else. The sad thing is that I live alone and when I find something exciting I have no one to tell. I send my brother emails but its not the same.
You mentioned the name Ison ,well I have 2 separate Ison families in my files and I cannot find a link between them as yet.
I also have a Henry Rose born 1829 with no other information. He married Celia Sebbens nee Barling.
Celia married James Sebbens on 31 Mar 1851 and then she married Henry Rose 5 Jan 1893.
I also have the name Johnson listed a few times. My daughter in law 's name was Johnson. I doubt it will link to your husband but its interesting.
I have sent you an invitation to join my web site but I do not know if I did it correctly. I hope you receive it as it would be a pleasure to include you. This is all new to me and I am still learning how to run this site.

Lee Hi Marion

Thank you for replying. I had no further information beyond James Butler Rose. James was the grandfather of Marie Jean Rose who married Robert Crawford. Robert’s father who was Robert as well was the brother to my grandfather Joseph Crawford.

Connection made. Thank you

See you on line

Marion Johnson I have a copy of the Rose Family of the Bellona withpublished by the Rose family as well as two books from the Ison family and I am a member in their Queensland family group. If you do a search on google for the rose family from the bellona you will get the first few years. Similarly for the Ison family. Jane had a few husbands ... If you go onto my site you can follow up some of the names I dont have a Henry Rose b 1829, but that could be because he is in the to do list, or in another family. Do you use the NSW BMD register. It is really helpful. My Johnson came from Norway 1815 as Ronnqvist and changed his name. Marion.

Lee I will google the names Rose and Ison.
I have a jane Ison somewhere but I have many files and have to go through all of them to find her. I once thought she was the sister of Levi Ison who married Tryphena Lavi but I havent connected that yet.
Thanks for your help you are most kind.
Yes I do use the BDM register I have that in my favorites, I wish all states had that facility.
My grandmother's family came from Townsville and it is very hard to get information from there. My grandfather died in Townsville and I cannot find where he is buried. Can you access Qld Register?

Lee Hi Marion
Thanks for that.
While looking at your ROSE family, it seems like you transposed some numbers William Rose husband of Mary Butler you have a birth date as 1841 but that was when the first child was born. Was it supposed to be 1814

Lee Hi Marion
Just a question. How do you merge two specific people on myhertitage. there doesnt seem to be a function for that.
Lesley

Marion Johnson Lesley, have hou seen the little green dot on some of your people. That is a merge signal that there is another person on My Heritage with the same person on their tree.
If you click the green dot it will usually take you to a site listing other users. You open one of these and descide if it is a match or not. Many are not much help but sometimes you find a genuine member of the family who has real data. If you cant get this to work we can try a chat page.
