My name is Anne Derbyshire, I have updated some blanks in the family tree. I had no idea a large part of the family even existed. You can see from the tree who I am, half sister to barry Wilkes . I will try to include some more photos of my dad Rostron Derbyshire when I can. Take care Anne
I have taken some ofnthe information and added to the much larger Leigh + Smith tree I created on Ancestry.com
Do you know anyone that might live near St. Mary's Fernyhalgh Road Cemetery. The Leigh family gravestone is located there and I would love if someone could get me a current picture of it. The picture I have of it is from the 1930's It is a tall monumnet and has the name of Mary Ann and John Leigh on it along with some of their daughters and a grand-daughter Henrietta Clitheroe.
Gerald Derbyshire's wife Irene is my grandmother Annie Smith's neice.

thomas leighPS: I met Joanne Becker for lunch last year. She lives a few miles south of me. She is related to Cherry and Sheila's mother's family line. I met Paul Derbyshire in Boston for lunch in Sept. 2007.

Susan YeoHi Tom,
Glad the tree was useful for you. Re, Fernyhalgh cemetry, I have googled it to see where it is, and have actually emailed you some details sperately that I think might be of use to you. There seems to be two, either Fulwood or Preston. Do you have a more specific address? I do have most of my family over there, so should be able to recruit someone to take a photo.
Uncle Gerald has told me that you met Paul, and is most impressed with your research.
Best Wishes.
