Rebecca BairdJohn and Eleanor Beard or Baird were the parents of William Beard. William was born 1766. He may have been born in Ireland or Scotland. My Grand mother told me Scotland. William came to the states after the revolution started. He has passed down a sea compass through the family.

Rebecca BairdMy Aunt Mary Ruth Baird never married. Her mother's name was Eula Westmoreland Jarrett Beard. They changed the spelling of Beard back to Baird. I have found her listed as Mabel and Merrot in some of my searches. Her birth certificate states her father as James N. Jarrett. Eula is on the death certificate.
