Sorry that i can not be of any help as our Gottlieb family is from the Pinsk area in what is now Belarus. Have you already tried posting on the JewishGen.org site?
I would like to know if you know anything about the origins
of the family name. I read somewhere that it is a translation of Amadeus and Yedidiyah (Hebrew) and that there was also religious movement in 18th c. Germany called the Pietists whos members used it as a personal (first name). There seems to be something for everyone here :),
Good Luck.
Thank you for the invitation. I will go to your site to familiarize myself with your Gottliebs.
Hi again. Just in case this didn't get to you.
With regards to the Stropkov Gottliebs if you haven't seen this you should:

If you have time let me know if you discover something ...
All the best.
