Jasmin MoranHi Colin, what's your connection with the Sandeman family ? Are they from the Dundee, Scotland area ? Or any connection with Robin Castle ? I am interested in any information you may have Dundee or the castle. My family are from this area, originally and have unconfirmed but strong indicators for connections to Robin Castle and distant connection to 'The House of Sandeman'

I can trace my Sandeman heritage back about 9generations to a John Sandeman, a native of Alyth, Perthshire, who married Margaret Smith in November 1628.
The name “Castle” does not appear in my Genealogy. This is a reasonably thorough list of the decedents from their grandson, David’s second marriage to Margaret Ramsey. They had 12 children. He apparently had four children by his first marriage but the research did not show them or whether he had any siblings, uncles or aunts.
The genealogy that I have was originally written in 1870 and, to my knowledge, last updated in 1950. The copyright is unclear. It is written in a book form and was printed by “George Waterston & Sons Limited,” Edinburgh.
Alyth is a small town near Perth which was once the first bridge crossing of the River Dee. Dundee is the port on the north bank of the Dee Estuary.
