I can't confirm info because i am not a premium member.
We are a Kamen branch. Raphael was Frank Kamen's father. I believe Raphael had 0ver 5 brothers. I finally did find Raphael in the NY York Business Directory. Is Raphael mentioned in the line? I can't find Raphael on immigration and naturalization so I am unsure when he came to america.. He did marry a Lena Kamen. Turns out there were two lenas at that time both who lived within 30 blocks of each other. Death didnt help either as both died at about the same time in Miami Beach Florida the same year. LOL.. Most of the branch would be early on in New York City then Chicago. I hope this helps. The Kamen side has been a bit difficult to research.
Hmm. Your husband Michael Wiss's mother Harriet Harris Wiss was the sister of Felicia Harris Eichner who married my father's first cousin Bud Eichner. I was doing some research on the Eichner family for Bud's son Mark Eichner and the rest of my cousins and included a bit of research on Felicia's side of the family. My Kamenetzky/Kamen family is on another side. Where did your Kamens come from? Mine came from Antopol, Kobrin uyezd, Grodno gubernia, Russia. That area is in what is now Belarus.

Jenny, Tobalah has been one of the biggest puzzles I've run across since starting my branch of the tree. Tobalah married Max Marcus but sometimes went by the namd Della. Della was Tobalah's sister's name as well.
I would be interested in how Tobalah fits into your family tree. I'm always interested in adding missing links/branches to my tree.

I met Gilbert once that I remember at a family party before his death. I probably saw him at other family parties but was playing with the other children....
