Wendy Arguelles Amos Lawler was my great grandfather and he did not leave much of a trail I guess. Melvin Lawler was his son and my father's father. Where is your Lawler connection? Do you know if you might be my relative somehow? My family is all from Maine. My parents grew up around Lovell and Brownfield and they both attended Fryeburg Academy.

WENDY RUSSO I CANNOT FIND AMOS OR MELVIN IN MY TREE. THE LAWLERS CAME FROM ENGLAND. THE FIRST LAWLER IN MY FAMILY WAS RICHARD. THERE IS ANOTHER LAWLER FAMILY THAT LIVES IN THE BANGOR AREA. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO FAMILIES IS ONE WAS CATHOLIC AND ONE PROTESTANT. I HAVE THE FAMILY TO CONNECT IF YOU ARE LOOING FOR CATHOLICS. WE ARE THE PROTESTANT SIDE.

Wendy Arguelles My Lawler family came from Ireland by way of Canada. Melvin Lawler did not claim any religious affiliation but my own family was protestant. I have heard that Amos ended up in Mass.
