To edit your profile, mouse over your name in the upper right corner of the screen and select “My Profile”.
Click “Edit Profile” to edit details that appear in the family tree.
Everyone has the ability to “Edit Account”, which are the details that are connected to your MyHeritage account. Every MyHeritage member can edit his or her own details such as name, age, email address and password in “Edit Account”.
You also have a public profile, which anyone can see. Click “View Public Profile” to see this information as others see it. (If you changed your privacy settings you might not see this link.)
To change the information others can view in your public profile, use the “My Privacy” menu.
In the “My Member Preferences” section you can decide what to show or not to show in your public profile.
Note: If you edit your family tree in Family Tree Builder 7.0, the tree you synced from Family Tree Builder to your site can be edited online, and you can edit your profile as described above.
If you still use the older version of the software, you won’t have an option “Edit Profile” on your profile page on the family site. You need to edit details in Family Tree Builder and then publish the tree to update it online.
We recommend you upgrade your Family Tree Builder software to the latest version to be able to edit your tree on the family site and sync changes between site and software.
