Email addresses can only be used to create one account. If you try to change your email address in your profile at MyHeritage.com and you get the error message “This email address is already taken” it means the email address you entered is already registered at MyHeritage.com under a different account.
In order to free up the email address for use, you will need to delete the account associated with it.
Mouse over your name in the upper right corner and select Account Settings to delete the account. After the account is deleted you can return to your original account and change your email address without a problem.
