How do I get my tree back after my computer crashed?

If you have published your family tree online, then there will be a backup of your original family tree that you published to your family site on MyHeritage. In that case, please follow these steps to recover the file:

Open a browser and log into your Family Site on MyHeritage.com, then go to the Family Tree tab > Manage Trees page in your Family Site. Choose the tree that you are interested in downloading, and click on the Download link to the right of it. You can then choose to either save the tree, or open it immediately in Family Tree Builder.

Once you have the file downloaded, double click on the file to open it. This should restore your entire project, except for the photos. If you are using Family Tree Builder version 4.0 and up, upon opening your family tree in the program you will be prompted to restore the photos from your family site.
