My dad was born in minnesota in hennepin county he apparently was born at home in 1909, he was put in a catholic orphange along with his two brothers when his mom gave birth to the last member of his family in 1919 wondering if it still could exist and if i could get records from it to find out where my grandparents are originally from
According to the 1940 map I saw, there was an orphange for boys in south Mpls. No, it is not still there. I am guessing that the post-war housing boom caused it to close. I am not much help, but I grew up in south Mpls., and it was gone by 1952. Julie V.
