I spent ages inputting about 85 people online. Then realised I could have this info offline too. I've downloaded free software but can't see how to download my family tree from myheritage website. Can anyone help me?
Hi, if you have downloaded the My Heritage Family Tree Builder, once you have installed and run it, you should be automatically informed that the details between the online and offline trees are different. It will then give you an option to update from one to the other. Alternatively, follow these steps:
1. go to your tree on the website
2. click on manage trees
3. click Export Gedcom and save it to your computer
4. open your Family Tree Builder program on your computer
5. go to file > import Gedcom, this should then open your tree.
