I'm doing a Family Tree on my grandmother's side and her mother's name was, "Freda Marie Robertson." All that I know about her is that she was born in Lima, Alabama and died in Birmingham, Alabama around 1949.
I'd like to find out any information that I can about her life. I'd really like to find a copy of her death certificate.
Head of Household Guy Walker age 33 (about 1887 birth year) He can read/write and says is occupation is Pressing Club (?)
Freda Walker age 22 can read/write no occupation
Her sisters are Mary Raguse age 27 Marth Raguse age 25. Both work in domestic labor locations are Private Homes.
Then in 1930 the family is living in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama
Guy his occupation is truck driver; baggage transfer. This record says he and both his parents were born in Georgia.
Freda she is a laundry presser/ It says her father was born in Virginia and her mother was born in Alabama

Emma age 7
Raymond age 6
Rosa age 3
Mattie 2
Mollie Regino, sister in law, age 34 (I think this is the Marth from the 1920 census)
So the last name is Reguso or Regino...it will take me a few days to try and work out (if I can) which last name is correct.
How sure are you on the date of death? The only Freda Walker death record I could locate occurred in Jefferson County on 24 Jan 1959 (if you want to have this record located it is vol. 2 certificate 955 roll 6.)
I can't believe how much information you have found - you actually brought tears to my eyes tonight. Thank you again. You are awesome. The information that you have gathered is so much like uncovering a mystery. I just want to find out more and more.
