Looking for information on my grandfather William James Frady 1846 - 1920 born in Geogia or So. Carolina . Married two or maybe three times. Last wife ( my grandmother Mary A. Glass Frady ). They were married in Texas where they are both buried. W. J. Frady served in the Confederate cavary as a private in the 4th S. C. until the end of the war. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have been searching for over forty yrs.
I do understand your frustration on the long hunt. I have been in the same boat. My gggrandfather was a William Frady - also served in the Civil War but died of typhoid fever in Georgia. I would love to find out who his father was. He was born in North Carolina and moved to Alabama where he and his family resided when he went to the war. Wish I could help you.
