TINTYPE PORTRAITS IN PITTSBURGH AREA

- Close
Do you have a specific family member you are interested in finding out more about? I’m an artist working in the Pittsburgh area that is interested in meeting with you to talk more about the "missing person" in your family tree - the person in your family you've been able to find little information on. In the end, we will work together to create a one-of-a-kind tintype portrait of this “missing” family member. Creating a tintype involves exposing a piece of metal to light instead of film, this result in an image that can never be replicated. The tintype will be yours to keep, to display amongst the rest of your family photographs and memorabilia. See below for an example of a tintype, and please contact me by email at tpreston@andrew.cmu.edu if you're interested in taking part!
