Hi,

My particular branch of the Arneys is as follows:

Tennessee > Virginia > North Carolina > Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania, at least 1750 to 1767

North Carolina, 1767 to 1793

Virginia, 1793-1799

Tennessee, 1799 to present

Peter Arney was born in Tryon County, North Carolina in 1772.

His father was Jacob Arney and one of his brothers was Christian Arney, Sr.

Jacob Arney died in 1784 in Lincoln County, NC.  Christian Arney, Sr. died in Lincoln County, NC in 1834.

In 1787, Peter Arney, at the age of 15, was bound over by the court to a John Fulenwider, to learn the trade of a miller until the age of 21.

In 1793, Peter Arney moved to Wythe County, VA, where he married and began his family.

In 1799, Peter Arney moved his family to Tennessee, where he died in what was Overton County, TN in 1845.

Christian Arney, Sr. was born in York, York County, PA in 1750.

Jacob Arney's whereabouts prior to 1750 are unclear.  His siblings and parents are unclear.

What is known, is that Jacob Arney was NOT the son of a Frederick Ernigh, who arrived in the USA in 1732.  That Jacob, died in PA and therefore could not have also died in NC!

I seek information to continue tracing my branch of the Arney's by finding DTP (Definitive Tangible Proof) of Jacob Arney, his siblings, his parents, etc.
