Would like to hear from people who are related to Gideon Freeman, Revoluntary soldier who fought at the battle of Saratoga. His grandson Alfred had a son by the name of Ransom Carson Freeman who is great grandfather to my husband. RC Freeman fought for the State of Illinois during the Civil War. I have quite a bit of info but always looking for more.

Thank you.

Did Gideon have two brothers named Elisha and Stephen. If so they all may have served together in the Continental army. Information is sketchy at best, but if our Gideon's are the same their Father was James. Also if this is the same Gideon, he would of fought against the British on his Uncle's farm. These Freeman's were Tories and retreated with the British to Quebec where they died of Small Pox in 1778.
