Does anyone have the following people as ancestors in their family? Phillipp & Richard Pye. They were 2 of the 49 officers in Cromwell's army who were given land as a 'bonus' and therefore paid a much reduced rate for it. The land they bought was in Co. Meath, Ireland. I have confirmation from the 'Book of Transplanters Certificates' that the land was handed over in 1655 to them. I am trying to find out which branch of the Pye family they're from, Kilpeck Castle, Herefordshire or Farringdon House, Berkshire.
