Hi,

Can anyone assist me with the descendants of John WALTER (b.1739 London. d. 1812). His son, John Jr. was born 1776. d. 7 May 1841. He took over ownership of the newspaper. I am trying to trace all the descendants of John Snr. Please contact me if you can help. Thank you.

Would like to be in contact with you, as I have the Family Tree of John, done by a descendant. I too, am supposed to be a descendant, but have hit a brick wall.

Can send you a copy of the Tree.

 Hi,

I am not a Walter descendant, but they married into my wider family. The rumour persists within the family that John WALTER (b. 5/9/1835 England– d.31/5/1922 Sydney, NSW) is a descendant of John WALTER who founded the London Times (but I have my doubts). His father is shown as John Thomas and mother is Mary Anne GUDGEON. I was going to attach a family group sheet, but apparently it won't accept a word.doc attachment. Can you confirm or refute this rumour? Where do you fit in the Walter clan? If you send me your email address I will send more information via virus free attachments. My email is pittskevin@hotmail.com. Please show subject as WALTER research. Thank you.
