Calling all Muller's.

With a surname like Muller there must be somebody out there besides me who is trying to trace their family back??? Well then, I too, like you .. am trying to trace my Muller /Mueller connection.

I have a Joseph, b. 1786 in Alsace, (but we do not know exactly where) who d. 1853 in Marylebone, London, UK. He was an antiques / curiosities dealer and his elder son's ... 1). Joseph 1816, and 2). Henry 1818,  where painter's & restorers within the family antiques business. There was also a daughter called Sarah 3). 1821  ..all where born to his first wife. We believe that she died prior to 1835.

Joseph then moves over to England settling in the Marylebone area of London sometime between 1821 / 2 and 1835 .. bringing his remaining family with him and re-marries. This time, to an Elizabeth Foreman who is at least 15 years his junior. In 1835 the first child of four is born to them. 1). Josephine, 1835, 2). Lucien, 1836, 3). Gustave, 1838, and finally 4). Alsacia, 1840. Alsacia is my direct relative but I am interested in finding out about any of the family. And more importantly where they came from.

Alsacia went on to marry a Joseph Michel MORET the son of Joseph Moret (1819)and Elizabeth Harriet MORLEY (1819), in 1872, the Strand, London.

Josephine marries twice the second time to a chap called Samuel BRIGGS.

Does any of this tie in with anybody else's Muller family from either Alsace or Lorraine areas? Would love to hear back from anyone who could either help point me in the right direction or has any information that might be useful to me ... many thanks . Best wishes all.      Su.

I do know that I have seen the sirname Muller in with the Millers' as I have searched for my relatives. My Father was Fred MILLER Jr.---his Father being a Sr. of course, The middle name being Lamont, and married to Lena Taylor. I do know that the Mother of Fred Sr. was the German blood and I was told that she could speak almost NO English at all.

Fred Jr was to have had 8 sisters'- who I still have not located. I aslo have some Courtright' s in the line and Grover s',

Swayze' , Mitchell' ,Fiedler or Fielder'-------------some from California, San Diego - is where some of the Mitchells' have lived. Then Sadie Maye Courtright lived in San Diego when she passed away. in the 70s.-- I also would like to find my relatives.--Hope we can help each other.--

Sorry Cynthia .... but I do not think that we can help each other as all my Muller's came out of France and into England. Where they where to stay until the first descendents moved eastwards in the late 1800's to CANADA.

Muller is/was  often Anglasied to Miller ... but in my families case it stayed as either MULLER or MUELLER. And we have no relations in the USA at all untill well into the 1900's. My Muller married into the MORET family name and then MORET to GOGGIN followed by GOGGIN to  KAY.

So sorry but I do not think that we link or can help each other. Su.
