I am researching my Seams family tree, who migrated to Rome Center, Lenawee county, MI around 1857 from Prussia and McClenburg, Germany. Also Wertenberg, Germany. I have not been able to find any other Seams and am wondering if there was a name change. I also wondered if there may be a connection between your Seaman and my Seams family. My GG grandparents names were Charles and Elizabeth Seams and they had a son Andrew Seams who was father to my grandmother, Viola Clara Seams Curtis. Do you think there may be a possible connection?
