My grandmothers family name was Dore, her father was Victor Charles Rudolph(?f) Dore. His mother was Constance Dore (she supposedly took Gustave's) name even though they didn't marry) she was an English woman. The family story is that Victor was the illegitimate son of Gustave Dore the artist. The met in London. Victor married Gertrude Stoatt in London in 1892.
