I'm searching for an my uncle's family. We know that his father was Adam Kotecki, 1885, and married Stanislawa ( Stella) 1892, Rachwalska in 29 Sep. 1908, place unknown. Adam's parents were Francis & Mary (Marciniak) Kotecki. Stella's parents were Joseph & Martiniana Rachwalska. I believe that they may have come to the US from Poland, maybe through New York City,1908, then through Detroit. They lived in East Chicago, IN and raised three children; Francis, dob 1913 in LaSalle, IL, and Kasper, 1915 in LaSalle, IL. John Thadeus or Thaddeus, was born in 1930 in East Chicago, IN. Adam was a harbor worker in this city. My uncle, John, (married my mother's sister, Mary H. Heuser) knows very little about his father's homeland of Poland.
