My great-grandfather George Gray married Mary Vernon in 1874 in Manchester.

They had 6 children; Sarah, George William ( who was my grandfather), Alfred, Margaret, Mary, & Stanley.

George Gray was born in 1851 in Scotland but as yet  I have not determined where so have not been able

to go any further back in the family tree. An aunt did tell me that they thought he came from Kirkcudbright.

Any information would be much appreciated.
