Henry Clay Cobb or Sylvester Young Cobb

I've found alot of information that appears to tie Henry Clay Cobb to his apparent father Sylvester Young Cobb.

Henry Clay Cobb was my great-great-grandfather.  I don't think he was born in Texas but almost all of his six kids, including my great-grandfather George Leroy Cobb were born in Texas.  Henry Clay married Mary Ellen Smith in Kansas on December 23, 1877.  They're six or seven children were; Charlie, Harry Eugene, Lula, George Leroy, Arthur Clyde, Robert Earl, and Carl Clarence.Sylvester Young Cobb was born on May 27, 1803 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.  He was the son of Archibald Cobb and Rebecca James, and the grandson of Clisby Cobb and Margaret Young of Catawba County, North Carolina.  He appeared on the census in 1830 in Blount County, Tennessee.  He appeared on the census in 1850 in Blount County, Tennessee.  He died on May 27, 1856 in Blount County, Tennessee.  Although Sylvester lived and died in Tennessee, six of his twelve known children migrated to either Texas or the Indian Territory.  I do know that one of those 12 children was a Henry Clay Cobb that had six children, but I don't know any more than that.  These two Henry Clay's are likely the same guy but I'd like to get some proof. Anyone have any information?
