I'm looking for information on my father and his family.

His name is David Wayne Crawford, born around 1962, he has a son named Daniel Crawford born around 1980.

 This is the limit of my knowledge on this.. but since I have recently had a child of my own, I desperately want to find as many ancestors as I can, so when he is older, he'll know where he came from. 

 I just don't have the money to sign up for most of the sites that could help me.
