I am researching my Banta ancestors as well. My descendants only recently left NJ where they lived. Epke Jacobse was my 5x great grandfather. I am going to Friesland in August and am hoping to find out if anything of Epke's existence is still there - the house, cemetary, windmill. I thought you might have some information.
I am looking for information on Edward Eden Bonta/Banta, b. 1844; d. 1908 in Indiana. He was a Presbyterian Minister. His wife was Elizabeth Mathis (Matthews?). Their children: James E., Janna M., Effa, Daisy, Nathan, and Lizzie. I would like to find siblings and/or the parents of Edward Eden, but any and all information on him would be greatly appreciated.
