The progenitor of the Savage Family was Robert LeSauvage a Norman Knight who arrived in England in Derbyshire with William the Conqueror in the Battle of Hastings
I have Alanson in New York State - along with other family members. I see a note below mine claiming there are only 3 Savage Families and they are in the South.
Which Savage Family are you talking about. There are 3 different SAVAGE families that I know about, Maine, North Carolina and Tennessee. I have been researching SAVAGE for about 50 years and haven't found a connection between these families.

I am a decendent of Tennessee savage. My mother was a savage. I have lots of info on them. I have not posted any of it yet. I am new here. I haven't started her side yet.
