Searching for British Rawsons
Heather Rawson
- Close
Hello Rawsons out there. Are any of you of British origin ? If so, could we be related ? I was not born a Rawson, but married one. He is a descendant of Francis Rawson from Kirkby-in-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire, England. What we don't know, is where Francis' parents originated from, if they had any other children etc. Do you have any connection with this family. Have you got any leads i could follow up?  Any ideas gratefully recieved. look forward to hearing from you.

Hello. I too am a Rawson descendent. I can go back to Joseph and elizabeth Rawson who were married in 1776. I think Joseph was born was born in 1745 ish.

His children, two of which are Samuel (my relative) and Richard were both born in Billborough, Nottingham. They were both convicts sent to Australia for petty crimes.

Good luck.

Dont know if that helps
