I have recently made a breakthrough and discovered that my paternal great grandmother was NAJEEBA DAMMOUS, born in Syria around 1868 and married GEORGE TABBAH, at Zahle, in Syria.

It appears that she came to Australia around 1890 and have found out this by obtaining a copy of her Death Certificate, which wasin the name of KATE SHEPPARD.

 National Archives records show that she applied for Naturalisation around 1940 in Australia, under the name of TABBAH, N (AKA Sheppard, Katherine).
