I am trying without success I might add to trace the Underwood line the problem that I am having is that my husband's father had no contact with his father from approx age 5. The place I am stuck is at is Everett Underwood(1921-1970) I have been able to locate with help of SSDI that he was born 2/11/1921 in KY, and died 3/1/1970 in Peoria, IL. Beyond that there isn't much more information. The really hard part in this situation is that in a 1930 census (9 yrs old) him and a Lilly Underwood (age 11) were listed as boarders with another family. Have contacted libraries in Illinois but they aren't even able to locate an obit. Even got desperate and contacted all Underwood's from the phone book in Peoria IL but to no avail, no one every had heard of Everett Underwood. The rest of my tree is flowing like water except for the blockage in this line. Please if anyone out there had any information regarding Everett Underwood I would greatly appreciate it. The most information that I was able to locate was his mother's name "Elsie" but that is a dead end without some more information. I really don't want this line to die, the history of this family needs to be preserved. Again THANK YOU for all your help.
