My name is Lew Steele. I do not think that the Steele in your tree is any relation to me, as my tree starts with the Steele's in Glasgow, Scotland around 1834 and then goes to Canada around 1850. The only Steeles' I know of who came to the U.S. are my grandfather(John N. Steele) to Boston, Massachusetts around 1886, my grand uncle (Alexander H. Steele) went to Pennsylvania around 1880 and grand uncle (Mathew R. Steele) went to Wisconsin around 1896 and my grand uncle (Donald Steele) went to Minnesota, I think.
I have a jacob Weber, who was born in around 1850 in Alsace-Lorraine, Germany (my aunt who is a Steele had him in France). Jacob came to the U.S. in 1873 and settles in Boston, Massachusetts. Jacob married in 1877 and they had 4 girls. one of the girls is my grandmother (Catherine A. Weber). The information I have on Jacob is the names of his parents (Jacob & Sophia Weber).
