HI, MY NAME IS MARGO LEE CARPENTER AND IN TRYING TO FIND FAMILY ON MY FATHERS SIDE. HE WAS BORN JAMES LINCOLIN AROUND 1927 IN GREEN CO.MO. (SPRINGFEILD). HIS FATHER WAS JAMES C. CARPENTER, BORN AROUND THE KANSAS CITY MISSOURI AREA.ABOUT 1891. HIS MOTHER WAS MARIE E.(I BELIVE HER LAST NAME TO BE BRITTAIN)CARPENTER,BORN AROUND 1891 IN KANSAS. SHE HAD A DAUGHTER DOROTHEA BORN AROUND 1910 NOT SURE IF SHE WAS BORN IN KANSAS OR MISSOURI. GRANDFATHER DIED IN 1961. AT WHICH TIME DOROTHEAS LAST NAME WAS RUSSETT.LIVED IN PENN.JAMES L.(MY FATHER) PASSED IN 1966. MARIE PASSED IN 1972.BOTH JAMES C. AND MARIE WERE LAID TO REST IN SPRINGFEILD MISSOURI. IM HOPING YOU MIGHT BE RELATED AND COULD HELP FILL IN THE BLANKS THANK YOU

Margo, I can't do much right now but I will see what info I have might help you. A Carpenter went to the area of Hannibal and Louisiana Missouri and years ago I was aware that a father and his son had been the Sheriffs of the county there for many years. Lost touch as I have lived in the Southwest since the early '50's. I will get back to it and let you know. I think your great grand father was in Missouri about the time that part of the family left Indianapolis and moved West. One clue is I remember one of my grand uncles was six foot six or more as were several other men in the family. My grand father was closer to six foot but the very tall men are common in the family.    Good Luck,   Jack (John)

im sorry i havent got back sooner. my husband forgot where he posted we found his paper am glad to from you here is what i do know  James C Carpenter is my grand father,he Marrird Marie E.Puckett,I belive in K.C.Mo. they had James Lincoln 05-01-1927 in K.C. Mo. When they married Marie had a daughter Dorothea . in the 1930's-1940's they lived in the Springfeild Mo. area in the 1950's- 1961 they were in the St.Louis area.the 1940 cences Dorothea with them, her last name was listed as Brittain. latter her name was Russett,and she lived in Penn. James C passed in 1961 in St.Louis Co. and is buried in Springfeild Mo. Marie lived out her Years In Springfeild mo and Passed in 1973,she is next to James.James Lincoln lived around Hillsburl, DeSoto Mo.and passed in 1966 He he Is buried somewhere there. at the time of his death he was married to a lady named Margaert,they had 3 childern 2boys 1 girl. I am from his secound marriage to Mariyln m Jones they had 3 girls he had been married to a lady named Eva not sure of the childern. i think Marie was born in Rosedale,Wyandotte Kansas. on her death cetificate it was listed as father was W. Puckett place of birth Kansas Year 1894 thank you for any more info you might have

im margo's husband and helping her. thank you so very much. she is realy glad to have some one help her find her family. she lost contact when her parents divorced. we did find wher her grandparents were laid to rest. they are in springfield,greene co. missouri. thank you for your time. hope you might be the one to connect the dots
