Looking for any information about the Cloussons in W. Virginia. I believe my grandmother is related to this surname. I would also be interested in the origin of the name.
This particular spelling: Clousson seems to be unique to West Virginia. Others whom I suspect are relatives would be Alma, and Nettie Lee.
I think Clousson, is either from Germany,or Denmark. Britsh variatins include Clawson which is a Scottish name. If anyone can provide information I would greatly appreciate it.
