I am also wanying to trace my family line of McCoy .What I know is that my father originated from Antigua... not sure where his fathr came from, there is some suggestion that he may be from Barbados. in the family there are Floyde, Richardson, George.
I am looking for an orva McCoy. His sister was mable lee McCoy in whom married a Jesse R Woods. from Blacwell Oklahoma, their father was Charles McCoy and mother was Elizebeth (Beth) Wallace. Orva was the last person to register on the indidan roll. My family has been searchin for this roll number for the 5th generation now. I am hoping that i can finally put this mystrey together.

The reason I ask is my line is African-American slaves. That is how we became McCoy's. We also know there is Indian in our lineage. I will update the Indian tribe once I get confirmed with Brother in law.
