My great grandfather (Joseph Ambrose) was born in Lithuania in 1908. He came to America about 1924 with Anna Ambrose. They were 16 years old when they left Lithuania. I am looking for the original Ambrose name (some are Ambrozaitis, Ambrozas, Ambrokaitis). I do not know Anna's maiden name. My goal is to find my relatives that are in Lithuania.
Hi, Have you had any luck finding the surname Ambrose in Lithuania ? That is the surname I am working on also from Lithuania. Mine settled in Pennsylvania. Some of the other names researching are: Embrose, Ambrasas, Skestenis, Tunitis, King, and Stankunas. Do any of these ring a bell with you. Hope you have better luck than I have. dothovey@aol.com
