Lantrip family name, lived in (Memphis, Tenn), (Black Fish, Saint Francis, Ar.), OK, (Lansing, Ingham, Mich.), (Ontario, Huntington Beach, other locations in CA.), (Qitman, Miss.) plus many other locations.
My grandfather was Joseph Malichi Lantrip. He lived in East Texas and married Mary Francis Shell. He was a Methodist minister and served in the Confederate army and upon capture was placed into service by the northern army. I know he was married several times before marrying Mary Francis but have no names and would like to know more.
I am seeking information about a James B. (Bevil) Lantrip or it might be spelled Lanthrip. He was born about 1857 in Virginia and died in Scott, Mississippi. He was married to a lady named Martha (or it may be Mahala). She was born about 1861 in North Caroline and died in Scott, Mississippi. Their daughter, Nora Viola, was my grandmother. She was born on April 11, 1884 in or around Talladega, Alabama. I took some of the information from Nora's death certificate. Will appreciate any information you may have.
