My great grandmother was Anna KRAUS, who died in Germany in 1978 or 1979   Her first husband was HARTMANN and she had 2 childern by first marriage :Katrina and Frank, her 2 husband -(my gerat grandfather) was Franz SCHMIDT and  they had 8 children: Teresa, Eugienia, Siegmunt,, Adolf,Johana,Josef, Kazimierz  and Vincent ).Anna Kraus(Schmidt) had a brother Joseph KRAUS,He was married Apolonia and migrated to USA or UK.All this family before 1940 was stay German colonies in Pietnice and Dobromil in Galicia in Austria-Hungary,after 1918 this place was in Poland (now UKRAINE) I don't know where they come from.

 I know very little about the Kraus and Schmidt Family, but am interested in finding other family members, or others who may have information about this family.  Any help would be appreciated.

I know that we have some family in UK but we lost contact after my grandfather died. 

all our Hartman family after war was migrated to Germany(FRANZ and Tadeusz (? )HARTMAN),USA and Kanada (KATRINA HARTMAN).
