I'm looking for a man named Ollie Jones he should be between 82 and 85. Last known to live in Chicago, Il. Pictures look as if it could be the South Side. He was associated with a family with the last name of Greenwood . Pictures look as if he is tall possibly black or mixed. He would have known Lilas Darnell who is a deaf woman who lived in Chicago, Il. My husband was born Oct 1959. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate your sharing. Have a wonder day!!
Glen had 4 siblings that I am aware of and their names are Raleigh Adams,Aubra Adams,Leonard Adams,Lola M. Adams and His fathers name was Robert Lee Adams and I have been told his mothers name is Milda May Stinehouse. If anyone can please help me find out the genealogy of this side of my family please contact me. Glen Adams married my greatgrandmother Margaret Pearl Maxfield and they had 4 children together Raymond,Ruth,Daril, and my grandmother Shiela Daryth Adams.
I looked on a Social Security Death Index website, http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ and I see there is one good possibility, someone named Robert F. Graf (no full middle name is listed), who was born December 28, 1919, and whose Social Security number was issued in Illinois. That man died in California in 2001. I looked on the internet for an obituary for him, but I could not find one.
I also looked online for obituaries for Phillip and Frances Graf, hoping that an obit would mention Robert, but again, I could not find obituaries for either of them.
I am trying to find anything about my grandfather. I have his WWI Draft Registration and his marriage to my grandmother, Gertrude Carlson but would like to know about his parents, who they were and where they were born.
Fredrick Algernon Brigg was born in Yorkshire UK in 1881 and emigrated to US in 1905.
I have a copy of his WW1 draft card but it is illegible. He died in Cook County, Illinois in 1919. Have tried to get hold of a death certifficate but being in the UK makes it very difficult and prohibitively expensive, 34.00$ postage by UPS (conditional) plus 18.00$ for the cert and handling. In addition the authorities require a photo ID (we do not have ID cards in the UK) which I cannot provide.
Does anyone have any info on F.A. Brigg or his brothers Claude Horace and Kenneth Brigg born UK 1883 & 1886 resp. who also emigrated to the US in 1904 or thier father Thomas Hargreaves Brigg, an exhibitor and prize winner at the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1894 and St. Louis Purchasing Exhibition in 1904.
