i'm told that the ivey's of my family might be of native american descent. in lawrence county tennessee in the 1850 census it shows isiah ivy 43, mary ivy 40 born in tennessee. wm. l. 21 born in tennessee, elizabeth 18, mahala l 14, terry h. c. 12, mary a. 10, julia 8, catherine h. 6, ann e. 4, virginia 2, last child named tennessee 1 (female) all born in tennessee.
in the 1860 census, destrict 1 litle ivey 28, anne 24, martha 6, terry 4, franklin 2
in the 1862 census, john isiah ivey born october 11 1862, in memphis tennessee, died april 11 1914, sprio oklahoma. married lula belle brumfield, she was born in japlan missouri, died july 1933 in clayton oklahoma. children are, walker franklin ivey born october 30 1929 in johntown texas. charlie david ivey born july 8 1932 in detroit texas. Johnnie william ivey, born august the 11 1936. mckenny helen lorene ivey, born june 20 1939 austin texas. peggy joy ivey born may 11 1943 cooper texas. andie leroy ivey born in febuarary 15 1946 in lawton oklahoma.
walker franklin ivey born march the 12 1893 in marieta oklahoma, died october 1 1952 in lawton oklahoma. married mary r. (zadie) daniels, born january 11 1909 kaufman texas, died in april 1 1989 arlington texas. I am originally an Ivey. I am tring to find out some information about that side of my family. I only know my graddads name is Hudon and My dads name is David. I have aunts and uncles that I see but I am not sure they are from his first or second marriage. I was wondering if there could be a connection.

The only date I have would be my dads from my birth certificate. Other than that I really don't have any information. I do know I am kin to the Chadwicks as well, maybe this would help.
thats a good place to start is your father . you will have to have his birth date then your grandparents. see if your father has any of these dates. need to find out when your parents where merried and your mothers date of birth as well. i dont think i have the names you have but i'll check for you.
