I don't know if this is the same woman but I located information on Amy Ann Hurd born in Vermont in 1834 and died 9 Aug 1860 in Brant, New York.  Her married name was Hammond...is this the same woman?   I think it is..she had a daughter Rosa Hammond and there is a  Lancaster line that marries into it. 

 I'd be happy to connect you with the owner of the public tree on ancestry.com.  Please send your personal email and I'll forward it.  It shows that Amy Ann Hurd is the daughter of Richard Hurd and Sophia Frost.  The Frost line is followed back several generations with the first Frost dying in Massachusetts in 1672...so it is a very early American line.
